Day 145 - Niagara Falls - The Intro

WidgetBucks - Trend Watch - WidgetBucks.com

This weekend was the memorial day long weekend. Like many other people, we decided to have a road trip to take advantage of the long weekend. This trip was to the beautiful Niagara Falls state park and then we intended to cross over to the canadian side.

The Niagara falls consists of 3 seperate waterfalls. Horseshoe Falls (which is on the Canadian side), the American Falls, and the smaller Bridal Veil Falls next to the American falls. I would think that the Niagara falls is probably one of the most famous waterfalls in the world. When we were at the state park, there were tons of tourist and there were vendors setting up stalls, there seemed to be a carnival like mood in the air.

A map of the area, showing the 3 falls and other areas of interest

For those interested in the history or more data on the falls, just check out wikipedia
which is quite comprehensive and what is there is what I learnt at the Niagara infomation centre and the Niagara Discovery Centre.

p.s: There will be 3 more parts to go for this Niagara trip blog due to the fact i got lots of things to write
